These tidbits of information are here to provide an uplift in your daily life. The affirmations can be used to shift your thinking and provide a positive transformation in attitude. The quotes are from various sources and the notes are ideas from Rev. Linda’s Sunday talks. Use them for a part of your spiritual practice if you wish.

“During the day and as you are about to fall asleep, think of all the positive and desirable character traits you can, whether you are now expressing them In your life or not. Then declare that all which is contrary to them is cleared out, and that only the positive and desirable traits are being established as your experience by the creative action of your thought.”

– Ernest Holmes, How To Change Your Life

“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.”

–  Mother Teresa of Calcutta

“This we know; all things are connected like the blood that unites us. We do not weave the web of life, we are merely a strand in it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.”

 – Chief Seattle

We all have a sense that time expands and contracts, seeming to drag one moment and race the next, but what is our constant, our absolute? I believe it is our “me,” our core self which is Spirit. Your body and thoughts have changed since your birth, but you remain the same. Even on regular basis you find body and thoughts changing. So you can see that you are more than body and mind. The feeling of consciousness is the real you. All that you have to do is decide what to do with the time given to you! What do I need in my life?  More quiet time?  More activities?  Something creative?  Something active? Something introspective? Am I doing too much of one thing so that it excludes other things I might want to do? Then turn to the divine essence which is your true self and affirm its expression in your life.  June, 2013

Today I have all the time I need to move forward,  start fresh, take a new step. I am willing and able to give my time, my talents, and my treasures to people and activities that satisfy my spirit. Just as I am I make a difference in the world.
